Do you have some Google Play balance & are looking to spend a few dollars on best-paid android apps that are worth their price tag? If so, then you’re in luck! We spent a ton of time purchasing and playing around with paid apps on Play Store and today we will highlight our favorite purchases that are worth their price tag.

It’s no surprise that Google’s Play Store contains thousands of apps of which many paid apps exist. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to know that some of the best apps on the Play Store cost a bit of money while some not-so-great apps cost a fortune & are most certainly not worth their price tag.

That being said, many excellent apps exist out there but from our experience, we noticed that some just stand out a bit more compared to the rest.

we only noted the apps that were once-off purchases and don’t require any subscription, additional in-app purchases, or contain a ton of ads.

List of Best Paid Android Apps:

1. Nova Launcher Prime

To start this list, we picked Nova Launcher Prime from the play store. if you’ve used android for a decent amount of time, chances are that you most certainly have bumped into Nova Launcher Prime at some point.

Nova Launcher is one of the most popular Android Launchers that are capable of giving your device a brand new look that is more personalized and stylish compared to the default ‘stock’ launchers that come with your device.

For most users, the free version of Nova Launcher is more than enough, and would probably not even notice the missing features, however, for more advanced users and users that want to personalize their android experience, even more, the Prime version of Nova Launcher is a fantastic purchase and unlocks all the app’s features such as:

  • Gestures
  • App drawer groups
  • Hide apps
  • Custom icon swipe gestures
  • Scrolling effects
  • Unread counters
  • More

Based on our testing and time with the app, we’ve found Nova Launcher to be quite an awesome app for giving a device a brand new look!

Do note that you can purchase this app for as cheap as $1 compared to their normal $5 price tag. The app often goes on sale during Christmas.

2. 1DM+

For those of you that aren’t aware, 1DM+ is the premium version of 1DM Download Manager. This app is one of the best Android Download Managers along with ADM (Advanced Download Manager). We wrote all about it in our previous blog which you can check out.

We loved 1DM+ and found it to be a ‘worth it’ll purchase for us. This app is all you need for managing your downloads and organizing your downloaded media into neatly categorized folders.

We loved 1DM+ as it supported every file type as well as m3u8 and more. This download manager takes it a step further by allowing you to download videos on a website as well as download all the files displayed on a webpage. This is a feature we found extremely useful at times. Another feature we liked was that 1DM+ comes with a built-in Ad-Block enabled browser which is typically used for capturing downloads from sites that have some sort of CAPTCHA or IP restricted link.

This app is worth its price tag and you can typically find it on sale for $1.55 compared to its new price of $3.01. The app goes on sale during festive periods as well as random times of the year.

3. Poweramp Music Player

Another worthy purchase is Poweramp Music Player. Poweramp is an offline music player that enables you to fine-tune your music according to your liking. It is quite a powerful app and one that is worth mentioning. It is, however, a bit advanced and requires some configuring on your side which may be a bit difficult if you don’t know what all the options do or mean.

In 2022, we noticed a trend where people have opted for streaming services such as Spotify and the likes rather than storing their playlists on their devices. If you use streaming services, then you can probably give this app a skip as it is only able to control media stored on your device.

4. KWGT / KLWP

These are 2 separate apps by the same company and the reason we are including these is because of their usefulness. These apps allow you to customize your device in a way that was simply not possible before. With KWGT you can give your device a completely new look with widgets that are custom made and available in all sorts of styles. You can get ideas & inspiration for theme designs on r/AndroidThemes as well as various Instagram pages that post Android Theme designs.

KLWP on the other hand is an app that allows you to design a Custom Live Wallpaper. These look incredible and pre-made packs can be purchased separately on the play store by searching for KLWP. One downside with these is that because they’re live wallpapers, they will eat up a bit of your device’s battery life.

That being said, there are no replacements for these apps so they’re worth the purchase if you are looking to customize your device.

Do note that the free version is sufficient if you plan to design all your widgets or live wallpapers yourself however, you will need the paid version of the app to import pre-made templates or purchased templates.

This app can be found for as cheap as $3.49 on sale however, in some regions (India & possibly other regions) it goes as cheap as $1.30 or so.

5. MixPlorer Silver

MixPlorer (A Mix of Explorers) is a powerful file manager for Android. This file manager supports multiple storage options such as FTP, Google Drive, Mega.NZ, Dropbox, and much more.

What makes MixPlorer great is that the app allows you to customize its appearances and additional functionality to the app. You could add Taggers, Image & Archiver add-ons to further the capabilities of the app.

Another awesome feature of MixPlorer was that it supported almost every file type. It comes built-in with a code editor, text editor, PDF viewer, document viewer, and more. MixPlorer is the one file explorer you can rely on. Simply install it and you will never need to look elsewhere for a different file manager.

6. Bouncer

For folks that want an additional level of privacy on their Android device, the bouncer is an excellent choice! As the name suggests, Bouncer is an app that acts as a Bouncer to disallow or allow permissions for apps.

Bouncer gives you the ability to grant permissions to apps temporarily. Want to tag a location or take a photo, but don’t want that app to be able to use the camera or get your location whenever it wants? Then Bouncer is for you!

Do note that newer android versions come stock with the option of allowing permission only once so Bouncer will be a bit redundant if you are using a newer Android device. That being said, if you are using an older Android version, Bouncer is a small price to pay for such convenience & peace of mind.

7. Tasker [REQUIRES ROOT]

For those Android users that are rooted, Tasked is the one app that can simply make your Android experience a lot better! Tasket allows you to automate everything from settings to photos, SMS to speech & more.

This app allows you to skip all the repetitive tasks by allows you to create scheduled tasks that execute at a specific time or event. Its real power is the flexibility to combine contexts and tasks however you wish. Check out the link below for some example use cases for this app: click here

Why remember to change the volume every day when you leave home when your phone can do it for you?

Automate stuff based on the app you’re in, the time of day, your location, your Wi-Fi network, Received SMS or Calls, the currently playing song, and many other (130+) states and events!

This app is extremely powerful and definitely worth its price tag if you are a rooted user.
